Seasonal planning
Winter-visitor season runs through the practical October–March travel window.
Occupied RV sites and winter arrivals can increase demand for inspections, furnaces, refrigerators, water heaters, generators, electrical diagnosis, and repairs discovered after storage. Test systems before a fault becomes urgent, ask parks about vendor access, and schedule noncritical work early. At Imperial Dam and other off-grid locations, describe solar, inverter, battery, generator, water, propane, waste, road, and map-pin conditions in the request.
Summer shifts attention toward air conditioning, batteries, shore power, refrigerator temperature, roof safety, and storage. Heat can make midday exterior work unsafe. Follow manufacturer instructions and the storage facility’s rules.
Use the Yuma winter visitor and summer storage checklist for a system-by-system review. For immediate danger involving fire, smoke, active arcing, propane odor, a carbon-monoxide alarm, sewage exposure, or unstable equipment, move to safety and contact the appropriate emergency authority instead of waiting for ordinary mobile service.
